My obsession with leaves began in 2012 when I began photographing the home of a style blogger, a collaboration that continued for the next eight years. Her home is a vibrant mix of eclectic styles that she somehow seamlessly melds together into a thing of cohesive beauty.
She is also an avid plant lover with a glorious fiddle leaf fig (aptly named “Glory”) which wound up being the first photograph in this project. I never intended it to be anything other than a single photograph of a beautiful leaf, but it has since taken on a life of its own and now I make a point of finding interesting leaves wherever I travel - everywhere from my home in North Carolina to the Caribbean. I quite literally can’t help myself.
Also, my favorite color is green so that may have something to do with it.
